About us – Nztennisodds

Tennis gives this site its lens: two players, one price each, and an honest look at what the number on the screen implies. Nztennisodds writes in that spirit about betting in New Zealand, without taking a bet or selling a tip.

Limits of the site

The editors do not accept wagers, do not sell "sure" tips and do not promise returns. A bet that is certain to win does not exist, and writing as if it did would mislead readers.

Establishing who is lawful

A register of licensed bookmakers is absent from New Zealand for a simple reason: only TAB NZ may lawfully offer racing and sports betting to people here, a rule in force since 28 June 2025, delivered through TAB and Betcha. Evidence comes from the Department of Internal Affairs, the Racing Industry Act 2020 and the Racing Industry Amendment Act 2025. The Department states that an overseas company offering these bets is breaking the law, while the same material shows the target is the operator and not the punter. No ranking position stands in for a licence.

Source handling

For the provider, the site relies on its terms, help pages and footers. For the law, it relies on statute texts and public bodies. Prices and promotions change often, so a quoted figure carries its date and place, and a gap in the sources is described in words, never filled with an invented number.

Intended readers

Adults in New Zealand are the audience, as betting with TAB NZ starts at 18. The material is no replacement for legal or tax advice. Where betting takes up more room than planned, the Gambling Helpline and Safer Gambling Aotearoa are the places to turn.
